These clamps are designed to hang threaded rod and other threaded devices from structural members. They are often tapped on the underside and the back to accommodate a variety of threaded rod widths diameters, either vertically or horizontally. Threaded rod hung from these clamps can accommodate the suspension of low-voltage data communications electrical, HVAC and plumbing and many more types of services, where embedding a rod into a ceiling is not possible, such as on the steel roofs of warehouses. Beam clamps require no drilling and their adjustability makes it easy to attach them to a variety of beam thicknesses. They are available in a variety of load ratings, materials and finishes. And these clamps are made for different purposes – for attaching to metal or wood structures (with the wood ones requiring a pre-drilled hole in the wood).
