Anchoring into cinder-crete can be a difficult task. Making sure the chemical anchor is filling the hole properly or if the fasteners is going to be a strong fixing point are factors that weigh heavily on this application.
Thankfully our team has put together this six (6) step plan on how to anchor into cinder-crete properly.
Below is the how to for installing into cinder-crete correctly:
- Drill a ½” hole with the masonry drill-bit……drill depth 4”/4-1/2” deep
- Clean out the hole with the wire brush to remove big debris (wire brushes are in the starter kit)
- Blow out the hole to remove any dust (blow pump is in the starter kit)
- Inject the VF200Pro epoxy into the hole starting all the way at the back of the hole……fill hole ¾ full of epoxy
- Then thread the 3/8 x 5-1/8” chemical anchor rod into the epoxy
- Let the anchor/epoxy cure for 30min before applying weight.
